The theme of the first public event of the Design + Posthumanism Network is water, since water captures both the concreteness and philosophical underpinnings of posthuman design. Concretely, all life on earth needs water for its survival – and the uneven distribution of freshwater makes evident global inequalities. Metaphorically, water lends itself for discussing posthuman concepts of connection, interdependence, transformation, movement and leakage.
We invite you to three hours of flowing, melting, and leaking presentations and discussions.
