The NATURE DESIGN CAMP 2023 registration is now open.
This year’s topic and program: Bodies of Water
Four individuals from near and far of the interdisciplinary fields of crafts, design, performance and science join forces at the Kulturraum Burgruine Blumenegg and explore collectively with 25 participants from Friday, April 21 to Sunday, April 23 the relationship of water and humans from an artistic and scientific perspective. An invitation for a decelerated weekend in nature to critically examine the anthropocentric perspective and how we can overcome it.
Free and open to all. Participation, program, materials, camping and regional food are free of charge. No previous knowledge of craft, design, science or art is required. Please note, that in the regard of intercultural exchange, the entire NDC will be held in English and German.
Our first NDC edition was internationally acknowledged with the GUSTA award 2022 (Gothenburg, Sweden). The NDC 23 in collaboration with the UNESCO Biosphärenpark Großes Walsertal is curated by Christoph Matt and Isadora Alves with local support of Petra Schwarzmann.
For three weeks after the Nature Design Camp, participants have the opportunity to submit and share their work to be featured in the Nature Design Guide publication and Nature Design Camp exhibition. The publication launch and exhibition offer the chance to share their own work with a regional and international community and inspire more individuals to become a changemaker in the future.
